Dr. Ariel Prieto Valdes is a highly skilled vascular surgeon based at the Vascular Center of Naples in Florida. He specializes in both open and minimally invasive endovascular procedures, addressing various vascular conditions such as aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease, dialysis access, and venous disorders.
Starting his medical journey in Cuba, Dr. Prieto Valdes served as an attending physician and professor of vascular surgery in Havana for six years. After moving to the U.S., he achieved ECFMG certification and underwent advanced training in vascular and endovascular surgery at the University at Buffalo, and he is currently board-eligible in vascular surgery.
His clinical focus includes complex aortic pathology, limb salvage for critical limb-threatening ischemia, hemodialysis access, and anterior spinal access in collaboration with spine surgeons. He is recognized for his precision, dedication, and a patient-first approach, ensuring individualized care with impactful results.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Prieto Valdes fosters clear and compassionate communication, making sure his diverse patient population feels confident and supported throughout their care journey. Outside of work, he enjoys family time and exploring the natural beauty and vibrant lifestyle of Southwest Florida.
